আমি মানসুরা- Comic on Child Marriage

আমি মানসুরা is a short comic commissioned by Directorate General of Family Planning, Bangladesh. The story revolves around a girl named Mansura who, despite possibilities of achieving good results and aiming for higher life standards, was set to marry while she's still young. 

The comic talks about why underage marriage takes place, effects on girls health, perspective of the victims and how it can be stopped and what does law of the land says. 

The comic will publish on Unmadmagazine.com and DGFP Gov.bd website.

40% food in Bangladesh are poisonous. As you consume parts of your body dies. Farmers are unaware of the dangers of additives, whole-sellers mix preservatives in dangerous proportions for profit. same goes to sellers in markets or restaurants. It's organised anarchy. Banned pesticides that cause serious health hazards have been found in fruits, vegetables, milk and milk products and dry fish, according to a FAO-sponsored test at a government laboratory. 

The presence of toxic substances in the food samples was three to 20 times the limits set by the European Union, show test results of the National Food Safety Laboratory (NFSL). Forty percent of the 82 samples contained pesticides that had been banned more than one and a half decades ago for high toxicity. The banned pesticides include DDT (Dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane), Aldrin, Chlordane and Heptachlor that are extremely harmful to humans.
